About your teacher:
Molly Ward
Born and raised in Northern Colorado, I have been around the Spanish language all my life. I began studying Spanish in high school and continued my studies in college. Majoring in Spanish and minoring in Theater, I graduated with a BA degree from the University of Northern Colorado. "What are you going to do with that?" just about everyone asked. Well, I had big plans. I was going to be the next Rick Steves and travel the Spanish speaking world while getting paid to do it. I made it to Costa Rica and Spain, but you know what they say "Life is what happens while you are busy making plans." While waiting for my meal ticket to arrive, I found myself in a variety of jobs all related to the fact that I spoke Spanish. But these jobs had one other thing in common -- kids, and at-risk kids to boot! Because of my language skills, I met incredible young men and women from all different backgrounds, and I found my passion -- teaching!
I was accepted into Project Promise, an innovative, accelerated teacher certification program at Colorado State University where I earned not only my teaching license but a master's degree in education as well. Then I taught Spanish at Valley High School in Gilcrest, Colorado for 4 years before leaving to stay home and take care of my own children.
I have three great kids, 8, 4 and almost a year, who are now learning Spanish too. I invite you to bring your children to learn Spanish with me and my children. Let's give them the opportunities that knowing Spanish will afford.
