Erica Hofer is a native Spanish speaker from Peru.
She came to the U.S. in 2001 after marrying her American husband. Erica believes
very strongly in teaching both languages to her little girl and realizes this
can be most fun through songs.
After receiving her High School diploma, Erica received a
Diploma of English Studies from the Institute Cultural Peruvian Northamerican.
She has experience teaching both English to Spanish speakers and Spanish to
English speakers. Back in Peru, she taught English to students ages 6 to adult
and to secretarial students (mandatory course) at two different schools for two
semesters. While in Iowa obtaining an Accounting Certificate I, she taught
Spanish to children at an elementary school. These positions gave her the
opportunity to develop and improve both her English and teaching skills.
