Charlotte Brock
I'm Charlotte, and I am fully bilingual in French. I went to French schools growing up and lived in several French-speaking countries. When my son Gabriel was born, I spoke to him in French, and that was his first language. But as soon as he started going to his Montessori school, he switched over to English! So I am looking for fun ways to re-immerse him in French. I think the best way to do this is to have him see French as a language that other kids enjoy learning too. I love singing and am even learning to play the guitar, so teaching this class is a perfect fit for me.
Hi, Odile here. Bonjour! I was born and raised in Washington, DC, immersed in French and Francophone culture because of my French parents: school, church, and vacations at my grandparent's homes in France and Martinique. I raised my own children to speak French, and lived several years in Benin, France and Quebec. Music has also been a key element in my life, learning songs is a passion, and I love to sing with kids. I've always been amazed at how music helps words and phrases "stick" in long-term memory. But best of all, I love how music captivates kids, makes them perk up, smile, and join in the happy noise! I have three amazing grandchildren (5, 4, and 3). Join Charlotte and me as we make happy noises in French!
