About your teacher:
Elizabeth Stanley
¡Hola! Bonjour! I have a Bachelor of Arts, vocal music performance and a minor in French from the University of Colorado. I went on to perform in operas including the lead in Susannah by Carlyle Floyd. I then taught English as a Second Language and beginning French at Berlitz in Denver for almost 3 years, using the Berlitz Method. I was fortunate as an employee to receive Spanish lessons when I wished. I have travelled extensively throughout the world. I have found, even though there's a soft place in my heart for the French language, I use my Spanish almost daily in America. I also have a sister-in-law from Spain, and several nieces whose family is from Mexico.
I strongly believe in the importance of music and languages in today's society and the earlier children are exposed, the sooner their appreciation of others will blossom. The more a child learns to appreciate others, the easier it is for them to build strong bridges of kindness and love.
I also affirm the benefits that come from studying music, (i.e.: language acquisition, reason, spatial relations, abstract problem solving, empathy through team work, detail orientation, work equals results - to name a few. The concept of music and language brought together through the Music Lingua program is truly awesome!
